Bodytrack collaborates with multiple Universities across Brisbane, including the University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology and Australian Catholic University. We discuss and assist with the latest research in exercise physiology, provide feedback on course content, and advise on the practical applications and professional behaviour standards taught to students. We welcome new collaborations with any universities or research centres investigating exercise physiology or looking to involve AEPs who are experienced in practical application.

Bodytrack is also proud to be a long standing practicum placement site, currently accepting students for clinical experience across  musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic, cancer,  respiratory, kidney, mental health and neurological conditions. We are leading the way in developing the next generation of Exercise Physiologists by being at the forefront of research and technology, and providing the highest standard of clinical experience for students. Practicum Students

Bodytrack Exercise Physiology has existing ties with multiple Universities across Brisbane, including the University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology and Australian Catholic University. We currently accept practicum students who require placement for clinical experience across musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic, cancer,  respiratory, kidney, mental health and neurological conditions.

Bodytrack also offers an exclusive  Cancer Care practicum opportunity for students who are interested in upskilling further in the area of Exercise Oncology. This is completed during regular practicum time but includes additional resources and learning tasks to facilitate specialised learning in Cancer Care. If you are interested in completing our Cancer Care practicum please notify the Bodytrack Practicum Coordinator during your pre-placement interview.

Student Requirements:

It is essential that all students who undertake practicum at Bodytrack Exercise Physiology meet the following expectations:

  • treat our staff, clients and allied health with respect
  • are professional with their presentation, arrive on time and work within AEP Scope of Practice
  • are professional with their communication both verbal and non–verbal
  • are committed to learning and development regardless of prior qualifications/degrees
  • have the ability to work independently and as a team member
  • are passionate about exercise physiology and optimising the health & lives of our community

Students seeking practicum placements should contact their University’s practicum coordinator to request a position at Bodytrack Exercise Physiology. Once assigned to Bodytrack, students should contact us to arrange their pre-placement interview. Please note that places are limited and subject to approval following the interview.
