My interest in the human body started during my teenage years after experiencing my fair share of injuries as an ice skater and long-distance runner. I later learnt the role that exercise can play in improving individuals’ health and wellbeing, which developed my passion in using exercise as medicine. I find it extremely rewarding to empower others to lead a healthy lifestyle and to use exercise as a tool to improve quality of life, reduce injury risk, prevent/ manage chronic disease and to achieve goals that feel impossible!
Shoshana graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Hons.) from the Queensland University of Technology and is currently completing her Master’s in Women’s Health Medicine at the University of New South Wales. Shoshana is passionate about health and fitness, with a particular interest in women’s health & oncology, neurological conditions and chronic pain management. Shoshana finds it extremely rewarding working with women throughout all stages of life, to improve their access to appropriate health care and to improve the treatment that they receive to treat and manage their women’s health conditions. She aims to use evidence-based practice to improve the care that women receive and safely prescribe exercise to help and support women navigate the changes in their bodies that occur throughout their lifespan.
Shoshana has also had experience in cardiac & pulmonary rehabilitation, chronic disease management, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Outside of work, Shos enjoys working towards her health and fitness goals and, in her downtime, enjoys drinking coffee, catching up with friends and family and walking her dog, Lulu!
