Daniel Ryan (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) ESSAM AEP) - Principal

Daniel's high level sporting background and interest of the human body led him to completing a degree in Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) at the University of Queensland in 2005. He has since continued with his concern, helping people reach their goals in health and performance excellence.

Daniel Ryan (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) ESSAM AEP) - Principal

Daniel's high level sporting background and interest of the human body led him to completing a degree in Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) at the University of Queensland in 2005. He has since continued with his concern, helping people reach their goals in health and performance excellence. Daniel has worked at Bodytrack for 7 years, during which he has developed an unique culture at Bodytrack. The Bodytrack culture is built on an underlying passion to help others improve their health. This culture stems through every staff member who works at Bodytrack and is a vital part of being in the Bodytrack team. As an Exercise Physiologist, Daniel has worked extensively in a number of fields including strength and conditioning, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, corporate health and special populations. Daniel enjoys working with complex patients who may have multiple concerns. Problem solving is a major part of the Bodytrack exercise physiology technique and is what keeps Daniel and the rest of the staff working on innovative techniques. His passion for helping people achieve there health goals reflects on the Bodytrack vision of: Dedication, Innovation and Happiness.

Brock Trigger (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) ESSAM AEP) - Manager

Brock is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, graduating from the University of Queensland in 2010 and joining the Bodytrack team shortly after. Brock has experience working with metabolic, cardiopulmonary and dietary conditions with his passion lying in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and motivating his clients to achieve and surpass their goals.

Brock Trigger (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) ESSAM AEP) - Manager

Brock is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, graduating from the University of Queensland in 2010 and joining the Bodytrack team shortly after. Brock has actively participated in sporting teams from a young age, often becoming an integral member in both regional and state level sporting teams. He found no challenge in deciding to combine his passion for sport and quest for knowledge as he enrolled in the Human Movement Studies program at the University of Queensland immediately following high school. After completing his major practicum with the Bodytrack team in 2010, Brock successfully gained employment and the opportunity to positively impact the lives his clients. Brock has experience working with metabolic, cardiopulmonary and dietary conditions with his passion lying in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and motivating his clients to achieve and surpass their goals.

Margaret Thompson (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) (Hons) ESSAM AEP)

Margie's passion for rowing and coaching led her to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) from the University of Queensland in 2010. Margie has a background in Pilates and rehabilitation which is applicable to many different clients of all ages for not only injuries, but also joint reconstruction, chronic pain and a multitude of chronic diseases.

Margaret Thompson (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) (Hons) ESSAM AEP)

Originally from sunny Townsville, Margie moved to Brisbane to follow her passion for rowing and coaching. This enthusiasm about coaching, exercise and health led Margie to the University of Queensland where she graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) with Class IIa Honours in 2010. Aside from rowing, Margie is very passionate about health promotion and programming. She has a background in Pilates and rehabilitation which is applicable to many different clients of all ages for not only injuries, but also joint reconstruction, chronic pain and a multitude of chronic diseases. Encouraging maintenance of good health behaviours is something Margie strives to achieve in every session with every client.

Matt Lyons (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) ESSAM AEP)

Following Matt's strong sporting background, a professional career involving the human body and its functions was a natural progression. In 2010, Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) from the University of Queensland. After suffering a serious knee injury he progressed into injury rehabilitation, for both athletes and the general public.

Matt Lyons (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) ESSAM AEP)

Following on from Matt's strong sporting background, a professional career involving the human body and its functions was a natural progression. In 2010, Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) from the University of Queensland. Initially, Matt was involved in strength and conditioning sciences for athletes ranging from minor grade to the elite level. However, after suffering a serious knee injury he progressed into injury rehabilitation, for both athletes and the general public. This career move enabled accreditation to Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as an exercise physiologist and successful employment to the Bodytrack team in 2012. Like all of the Bodytrack team, Matt is trained in the specific anatomical and physiological aspects of the body related to strength exercises and rehabilitation. This allows his exercise clients to reach their full potential no matter the physical or mental limitations, and as a result, have a positive effect on their lives. "A pain free body is a pain free mind."

Kirsten Adlard (Ba Exercise and Sport Sci (Hons) ESSAM)

Having competed in rowing at a national level for 6 years, Kirsten understands the importance of correct conditioning, injury rehabilitation and injury prevention. In 2012, Kirsten completed her 4th year of a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree with 1st Class Honours at the University of Queensland.

Kirsten Adlard (Ba Exercise and Sport Sci (Hons) ESSAM)

Kirsten developed her passion for sport and exercise from a young age with involvement in ‘little athletics’, gymnastics, dancing and cross-country. The past ten years have been filled with her current passion – rowing. Having competed at a national level for 6 years, she understands the importance of correct conditioning, injury rehabilitation and injury prevention. In 2012, Kirsten completed her 4th year of a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree with 1st Class Honours at the University of Queensland. To date, her research has centred on osteoporosis and cancer. Her practical experience has ranged from strength and conditioning of elite athletes to clinical musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Kirsten’s key motivation is to help individuals achieve their goals, whatever these may be, and share her enjoyment in physical activity.

Samuel Donaldson (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) ESSAM AEP)

Sam is an AEP and Exercise Scientist having completed his Exercise Physiology degree in 2009. He has been a team member since October 2009 and is particularly interested in post-surgical and injury rehabilitation and prevention. A lifelong interest in soccer has led Sam to be involved with a number of sporting professionals in his time with Bodytrack. Sam is now completing a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland and will be due to complete his degree in November 2013 and he remains an important member of our team.

Samuel Donaldson (Ba Apply Sci (HMS) ESSAM AEP)

Sam completed his Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) degree at the University of Queensland in 2009. Having spent most of his life kicking a soccer ball, he has had a lasting passion for sport and exercise. Qualifying for state championships in athletic events and playing for top Brisbane soccer clubs, Sam continues to enjoy a sporting lifestyle with Bodytrack. Sam maintains a professional interest in the rehabilitation and maintenance of injuries and post-surgical physical therapies (Knee/ Hip/ Shoulder reconstructions, fractures, arthroscopic procedures, etc.). This keen interest has inspired him to continue his education by beginning a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of QLD. Although studying full time, Sam continues to maintain an important role with Bodytrack and will be due to graduate his second degree in 2013. He has worked with a variety of bone, muscle and ligament injuries as well as joint instabilities and some chronic health conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis and heart disease. Sam defines Exercise Physiology as the study of the human body, utilizing the benefits of exercise to enhance one's ability to manipulate the physical environment in which they live.

Abbey Nydam - Admin / Marketing

Abbey is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland. She has two years experience as an events and marketing executive for UQ clubs and societies.

Abbey Nydam - Admin / Marketing

Abbey is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland in the area of cognitive neuroscience. She also has two years experience as an events and marketing coordinator through her positions as an executive of UQ Union and social convener of Emmanuel college. Abbey spent most of her life as a competitive dancer, and has competed at many national competitions. In 2008, she completed her Diploma of Dance Teaching, which has given her a broader understanding of movement and how important it is to train safely with professional guidance. Abbey is a great addition to the Bodytrack team because she understands the importance of a holistic evidence-based approach to well-being. She has a working understanding of both mental and physical health and continues to strive for additional knowledge as she progresses through her work and academic studies.
